LED upgrade lens unit for Model 84 and 86 tail light fixture

Bargman introduced this unit as a perfect solution to upgrade your cargo trailer or RV to LED lighting with a minimal amount of hassle.

Fits your existing tail light housing without any cutting or permanent modifications. Also available as a complete tail light assembly.

Note: The LED module is about 3/16" deeper (thicker) than the original lens. Not all customers choose to order the new "enhanced height backup lens", which matches the height of the new LED lens unit, which really is only used to enhance the appearance by having the lenses all the same height/depth (thickness).

Features:

• Fitted with wire leads that are attached to a bayonet style base that fits into the existing bulb socket for true "no hassle" installation

Simply put, incandescent bulbs produce more-or-less full spectrum light (and a lot of heat) and filter out everything but red light through a colored lens. LEDs, on the other hand, produce a saturated, wavelength-specific light—in this case deep, intense red—without any heat or wasted light energy. This is why LEDs require far less power to produce light of equal brightness.

The installation process is quite simple: Remove two screws for the lens, remove the existing bulb, fit the module's adapter into the bulb socket just as if you were installing an incandescent bulb, fit the lens module in place and replace the screws!
